Experience & Assets

Previous horseback experience is required. A trail guide certification is an asset. Good English skills, up-to-date first aid certification and ease with people are also highly valued.

On-site Training

If needed, additional training can be provided at the stable to ensure you’re fully prepared.

(03)

Dutie

Guide guests on trail rides, groom and tack horses, provide basic care, welcome visitors, assist with horse training and help with daily stable tasks.

(04)

Salary

Pay is discussed based on your experience and skill level. Contract duration is usually between June and September.

Tractor experience is required — especially for feeding and cleaning enclosures. A valid driver’s license is essential. Experience in grounds/building maintenance is a bonus.

You’ll play a key role in effective daily operations: maintaining fences and trails, cleaning enclosures using a tractor, distributing hay and helping with seasonal work like snow removal, hay baling, or landscaping.

You must have (or be in the process of obtaining) a certified instructor license to ensure safe, qualified instruction.

Teach riders from beginner to advanced, monitor progress, train horses, assist with day-to-day stable life and occasionally guide trail rides.

To be discussed based on experience and availability. Part-time or full-time depending on agreement.

Daily care of the horses, maintenance tasks, assisting with activities, and full immersion in stable life.

Conditions

Minimum 6 to 8 week stay. On-site lodging provided. Weekly grocery stipend. Meals are self-prepared. Riding opportunities possible depending on conditions.
